Specially designed for patchwork and quilting groups, Pauline’s Gadget Queen presentation comes in two different formats – Pauline’s Pearls which are lecture type demonstrations and Pauline’s Pointers which are more in-depth with her demonstrating step by step. Pauline Rogers and her husband Rob travel all over Australia presenting this popular program to quilting groups. They always bring along their mobile shop of quality patchwork & quilting tools and supplies too. Pauline loves to teach how to drive the machine with feed dogs down, instilling confidence in her students so they can quilt their own quilts - without having to turn them under the machine - no matter what size they are. What You Need

Taking in different areas throughout Australia on regularly scheduled tours means Pauline is able to offer groups the basic programme for only $5 per person. Groups do not have to pay the typical travel or accommodation fees that tutors usually charge. This makes having a tutor an affordable option for even small groups.

To book a Schoolhouse you need a minimum of seven interested participants.

You also need to provide the venue, and as Pauline cannot always be in your town on the day you meet, if your regular meeting spot is not available why not get together in someone’s home or source another venue?

About Pauline
With over 25 years of experience Paulines expertise covers a full range of techniques from appliqué and hand work, to machine piecing and quilting. Pauline began her career in the 1980s as a travelling patchwork and quilting tutor, commissioned by the Queensland Arts Council. She has been a featured tutor at the Australasian Quilting Symposiums and the Stitches and Craft Shows. Pauline has also been an integral part in the creation of numerous community quilts, several of which are listed in the National Quilt Register.Pauline and her husband Rob are the owners of Quilters World, which began in 1996 as the first quilt shop in Toowoomba, Queensland. With a focus on educating quilters shes organised a multitude of workshops, retreats and events over the years, including the Outback Quilters Tour. In 2000, at the Queensland State Quilt Conference, Pauline was recognised for outstanding services to the establishment and promotion of patchwork and quilting in Queensland.Pauline enjoys helping others learn and perfect patchwork and quilting. In 2006 she was instrumental in the production of a series of 16 educational DVDs on patchwork and quilting of which she was the featured tutor in three The Joy of Piecing, Foundation Paper Piecing and Chenilling.She believes when teaching its important to focus on the process, such as accurate cutting and accurate piecing, and that the equipment used is a vital part of this process. Pauline also feels that when the proper tools are used correctly, making a quilt is easier and more enjoyable, and the quilters efforts are rewarded with a better result.Experimenting with the numerous gadgets available in the marketplace, Pauline has acquired an in-depth knowledge of tools.
